A Brief Look into Our History

In the first post-war years, we recognized the shortages affecting society. At that time, there were no retail chains or supermarkets, and people eagerly welcomed any source of information. Regional exhibitions became a major phenomenon during these years. We followed this trend by founding Rappenglitz Exhibition Stand Construction Munich and offered our services as an outfitter for trade fairs. Whether partition walls, facades, counters, carpets, or furniture—trade fair directors received everything from a single source. Shortly after our founding, Messebau Rappenglitz-Munich was active all the way from Hannover to Kempten.

Exclusivity & German Quality from Rappenglitz

The boom in consumer exhibitions was accompanied by rapid growth in specialized trade fairs. The economy experienced an upswing thanks to newly founded companies. These innovations had to be presented to industry professionals, and more exclusive stands were created. Since no standardized systems were available yet, exhibition stand construction and interior finishing were completed with the help of carpenters, painters, electricians, decorators, and sign painters.

It wasn’t until the 1960s that the first modular stand systems appeared on the market—reusable systems that significantly reduced assembly and disassembly times. This sparked another boom, and many new exhibition stand companies emerged. Our role was to stand out from the competition by combining German quality with perfect design. Even today, we place great importance on these qualities, tailoring the individual needs and wishes of our clients. Fourteen creative architects and designers work with us as project managers to deliver bespoke designs and solutions with unique style.

What’s New at Rappenglitz?

With our new Multiwall 40, we bridge the gap between a standard system wall and conventional stand construction. Enhanced with doors, monitor mounts, and other special components, it offers a versatile solution in exhibition stand building. Our Multiwall system makes a seamless wall possible—something that previously required complex and expensive constructions.
