Rappenglitz Trade Fair Construction builds upon sustainable success.
As a family-owned business we take responsibility: towards our employees, our society and our environment. Therefore, we take sensitive handling of resources for granted. We already plan with modular components in the design phase such as substructures made of aluminum, that are characterized by their high level of reusability. In the production phase, we make use of high-quality materials with a long lifespan and environmentally neutral materials such as water-based paints.
We also apply our creativity for the sake of our environment: at Rappenglitz we reprocess already used materials a second time, wherever possible. For example, in that we build shipping crates out of old wall elements. For us it is equally self-evident that all vehicles of our fleet meet the emission standards Euro 5 and Euro 6.
FAMAB Foundation: an idea that pays off for the environment.
In order for us to come even closer to our ideal of CO2-neutral trade fair construction, we created the FAMAB Foundation together with partners. The idea: if CO2 emissions at trade fairs, events and congresses are inevitable, a corresponding balance for the benefit of the climate should be created. Therefore, the FAMAB Foundation initiated a reforestation project in Panama’s rainforest.

Climate neutral stand construction: a vision becomes reality.
Admittedly: emissions cannot be avoided in trade fair constructions; however, they can be significantly reduced. Prerequisite: conscious and sensitive care of resources as well as use of new, environmentally friendly materials, technologies and ideas. How it can be done, has already been demonstrated by Rappenglitz for several of its customers.
Climate-neutral stand construction in detail
Step 1: Determination of emissions
To calculate the CO2 footprint of your trade fair stand, we use a calculator that has been programmed according to the guidelines of the GHG Protocol (Greenhouse Gas Protocol). In this way, we calculate the exact volume of CO2 produced in the development and production of your stand. Relevant factors are, for example, the selected materials, the number of times used, energy consumption, delivery journeys and many other factors. The result is the sum of all the emissions in kg CO2, which are caused by your stand.
Step 2: Reduction of emissions
We reduce this figure now making use of all our expertise and our experience. For this purpose, we skillfully select fabrics, paints and other materials for you, or make use of reusable construction systems. In doing so we constantly have our eye on your requirements and wishes. The result: an optimized CO2 balance, without either the design or functionality being adversely affected.
Step 3: Compensation for emissions
Only when the environmental impact falls as low as possible are we satisfied. You can offset the remaining emissions through the purchase of CO2 certificates. The settlement will be completed using the TÜV-tested management of CO2OL and ensures maximum transparency and security. In this way, you support climate protection projects which satisfy internationally-recognized standards. As proof of your CO2 compensation, you will receive an official certificate and the official seal “Klimaneutraler Messestand” (“Climate-neutral Stand”), which can also be used for documentation and communication purposes.
Step 4: Environment and climate benefit doubled
On the one hand, through the balance of CO2 emissions, with which wind farms, reforestation and similar projects are supported. On the other, by raising awareness of this issue, so that the search for climate-friendly materials and work technologies is promoted.
